Release Notes - 21st July 2009
These are the release notes for another round of updates to the Insight platform. As always if you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact us.
Headline Enhancements
-
Picking of roles and organisations during payment group registration
During the payment group sign-up process, you can now ask your guests to specify which organisation they belong to and what role they have in that organisation.
There is a new 'Link to Staff Role' group note type, which you can add to your payment group registration. Then, when registering, your applicants are asked to choose an organisation and a role in that organisation. If your directory settings allow it, applicants can create a new organisation if theirs doesn't exist, and can either select from a pre-defined set of roles that you specify, or enter a new role.
We have added new filters into the organisation picker to make it much faster to find an organisation when you are choosing from a list of hundreds.
-
New 'Labels' settings area in the shop
We've added a new page to the settings area, where you can configure various labels that appear in the shop. You'll find this on the 'Settings' tab, under the 'E-commerce' section from the left-hand menu.
We've moved a couple of existing settings into this page from the general 'Shop settings' page. These are the 'Retail price label for promotion' and the 'Trolley label'.
In addition, you can now configure four further labels, that were previously fixed text: Price now, Suggested price, Donation and Suggested donation.
Other enhancements and bug fixes
- Mailings sent in the Mailing Wizard can now have subject lines up to 200 characters
- In the Web Office, when editing users or events, there were sometimes incorrect messages telling you that changes would be lost if carried out certain actions. We've found and fixed these.
- Fix to bug in drop-down navigation menu, which was causing the menus to not respect the 'levels' settings when the 'My Area' option was set to be not visible to the public.
- We've continued to make performance improvements and optimisations 'behind the scenes'.
